An attractive lifestyle and improving job sector is uplifting the real estate values and popularity of neighborhoods like Crestview, University Hills, and North Loop.

Crestview is largely a residential neighborhood and a perfect place to raise your children. Trulia has confirmed that it’s a great place to “Live Well,” with the third highest ranking in the country for midsized cities. Taking into account the noise level of streets and proximity to play areas, trails, great schools, and even emergency facilities, Crestview has the whole package for those looking for a home with convenient amenities.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Crestview has seen a 19 percent increase in sales volume year-over-year since 2013, showing an increase in housing demand. The neighborhood boasts an average listing price of $443,046, making it a popular destination for people looking for a central option with nearby amenities.

University Hills has transformed into a desirable place to live in Austin, and real estate prices are rapidly growing. Surrounded by great food options, this diverse hub is particularly appealing to young people. University Hills offers some great "Live Well" amenities, too, with Dottie Jordan Park and the Walnut Creek trail for hiking and biking. Not to mention there are plenty of picnic areas and tennis courts near the creek.  With an average listing price of $351,511 that’s growing at a 2 percent increase week-over-week, now is an ideal time to snag a piece of University Hills real estate.

North Loop has experienced a real estate and cultural makeover in recent years. Once under the flight path of incoming and outgoing airplanes, today, North Loop is one of the hottest up-and-coming neighborhoods in the Austin area, attracting a wide variety of demographics. Shops, cafes, and other amenities pepper East53rd Street, which is also home to favorites like Foreign & Domestic and drink.well. North Loop real estate is a hot commodity right now, with a 9 percent rise week-over-week. It's still an affordable in-town option, with an average listing price of $325,426.
