Below is a video of baby opossums that Nate Jones (Austin Realtor) recently rescued. During the night, their mother was killed by a car in front of our house, I quickly gathered the babies as they were trying to nurse from her, wrapped them in a soft towel, did not feed them, and placed the babies in a warm place overnight knowing the Austin Wildlife Rescue wouldn't open until 9am. I drove the baby opossums to the Wildlife Rescue and after a quick exam I was notified that ALL babies were doing great! I made a donation while I was there in appreciation of the specialized service they offer to the city of Austin. http://www.austinwildliferescue.org/
